The University of Southern California (USC) hosted their annual commencement for the first time ever at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on the afternoon of May 10 - 21, 2021. The commencement ceremony was held on the legendary football field due to the global epidemic. Krystal Walden joined this celebration by attending the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and successfully achieving her Master of Science in Gerontology (MSG). The USC Leonard Davis School is know for globally pioneering the study of aging better with elite education, research, policy, and services. It is the world's most sought after educational institution for aging.

"I am utterly excited for this huge milestone achievement. My passion for refining aging at all stages of life has been sharped during my USC academic experience. It was faith that I finally join the Trojan family as an alumni!! Fight On!!"

The inaugural College Yoga Day at the University of Southern California (USC) held their all day, wanderlust-like, festival on the sunny afternoon of October 26, 2022 that brought together the yoga, mindfulness, and wellness communities to help celebrate all that is loved about life. The aim was to introduce healthy lifestyle alternatives that are available as resources on campus through an amazing and eclectic collective of USC's elite yoga and mindfulness-inspired faculty members, along with a few oustanding teachers and leaders from the yoga and mindfulness community in Southern California. Krystal Walden was one of those community leaders who lead the discussion on the challenges of healthcare and health insurance coverage for mature adults (aka: seniors or older adults). The event included USC Trojan students, faculty members, staff, alumni, and friends & family members.

USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology

The USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology lead the charge of raising awareness and promoting the equal enjoyment of human rights and fundamental freedoms for mature persons (aka: older persons) on the beautiful afternoon of October 1, 2019. This celebratory day hosted events in 6 locations around the University of Southern California (USC) campus. There were a full range of events celebrating research, impact, academia, and community service. Krystal Walden led the mature persons with a chair yoga activity sessions to demonstrate that anyone can practice some type and/or form of yoga poses. The centerpiece event was held on McCarthy quad, which featured a rotating set of entertainment and engagement opportunities throughout the day.

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) held a "unconference conference" led by Affinity and Diversity Programs, was more than a series of interactive sessions and conversations facilitated by Bruin women on the afternoon of March 11, 2018. Inspired by the theme Boundless, alumnae left feeling empowered by their limitless potential to become uplifting forces in their communities all while recognizing the challenges they faced personally and professionally. Not only was the day filled with reflective sessions, engaging workshops and self-expression, but women were also part of a photoshoot called PortraYt Project that invited women to capture their most honest and authentic self-answering the question "What makes you boundless?"

The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Anderson Executive Education Corporate Governance hosted a UCLA Directors Networking Dinner on the evening of Tuesday, October 3,2017. The dinner offers a lively forum in which attendees exchange insights and listen to a distinguished keynote speaker addressing important governance issues. This year's keynote speaker was Stedman Graham, author of "Identity : Your Passport to Success". This event included a delicious formal dinner, meet & greet, and a compelling talk from Stedman Graham. Krystal Walden, Founder/CEO of KRYSTAL SPA® was delighted to be a guest at this event.

Environmental Charter High School hosted their annual "Career Day" on the afternoon of November 10, 2016. The theme this year was "Connect for Success", the exchange of ideas and sharing experiences on the power of staying connected. The featuring keynote speaker was former NFL player Thomas R. Williams. The panelists were comprised of individuals from different professions in different industries that have made bold career decisions and have inspiring stories of challenges and successes. The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of Sociology hosted their 2nd annual course for undergraduate UCLA Sociology majors on the afternoon of May 24, 2016. The "Careers in Sociology" course is designed to help Sociology students expand awareness of their interests, needs, and skills to make deliberate career choices. It will provide students with an opportunity to learn about the many components that go into making effective career decisions and will help students explore the diversity of career options for Sociology majors. Krystal Walden, Founder/CEO of KRYSTAL SPA®, was invited to be a panelist to share her career path, insight into health and fitness industry, and advice on entrepreneurship through a moderated panel discussion followed by Q&A and small group discussions. This panel is intended to give Sociology majors a better understanding of what they can do with their Sociology degree. There were over 50 students in the class, 65% are graduating seniors and 35% are juniors.

The US Track & Field hosted the Olympic Marathon Team Trials on the afternoon of February 13, 2016.  The "US Olympic Marathon Trials" included the best of the best long distance runners who ran the streets of the renovated Downtown Los Angeles.  This event was just the start of the journey to Rio for the main Olympic event.  Our every own UCLA Bruin, Meb Keflezighi, represented by qualifying for his 4th Olympic team.  Krystal Walden, Founder/CEO of KRYSTAL SPA® was humbly honored and proud to be part of the US Olympic Marathon Medical Team.

The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of Sociology hosted their inaugural course for undergraduate UCLA Sociology majors on the afternoon of January 26, 2015.  The "Careers in Sociology" course was designed to provide students with professional development training and industry exposure to help them make effective career decisions.  What's especially exciting was that the course was also designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds who might not otherwise have access to internships or other hands-on opportunities during their time at UCLA.  Krystal Walden, Founder/CEO of KRYSTAL SPA® was humbly honored and proud to be on the speaking panel to educated the students of the variety of career opportunities available with a degree of Sociology.
