Krystal Walden is the Founder/CEO of KRYSTAL SPA®, a health
and fitness spa devoted to the healing arts. Her remarkable
commence into entrepreneurship resulted from a career
boomerang. From the age of 8, Krystal became an accomplished
100 and 200 meter runner. Her execution and excellence
in academics and athletics earned her scholarships to the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). There
she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with
an emphasis in Psychology.
Krystal also competed
as a World-Class and UCLA Track Athlete trained by the
best, Brooks Johnson, Bobby Kersee (husband of six-time Olympic medalist, Jackie Joyner-Kersee), Jeanette Bolden, the UCLA athletic weight
training staff, and the UCLA athletic diet/nutrition
training staff.
While in college, Krystal Walden began her corporate career
path in the fashion industry where she soared into an
associate buyer position for Guess? Inc. and then Macy*s
West. With these rewarding experiences she learned to manage $50 million
accounts. Gaining skills in developing and managing qualitative
financial/assortment planning, comprehensive analysis,
advertising, marketing, and promotional components of
a business while continuing study to ensure business growth.
However Krystal had reached a point in her corporate career
path where her soul and spirit was no longer fulfilled
in the fashion industry alone; her athletic nature was
craving for attention. That epiphany motivated Krystal
towards an entrepreneurship in the health and fitness
industry. In 2002, Krystal developed the business concept
of KRYSTAL SPA® when she took notice the absence of
health and fitness awareness within most spa facilities
of today.
In 2003, Krystal began her intensive Yoga Therapy studies
at Bikram Yoga College of India, trained by the world
renowned Bikram and Rajashree Choudury. Krystal successfully
achieved the credentials of a Certified Yoga Teacher.
Krystal continues to deepen her Yoga Therapy studies
at Forrest Yoga Institute, trained by the world renowned
Anna Forrest and Jonathan Bowra. To balance out her
knowledge of the human body, Krystal studied Massage
Therapy at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing
(IPSB), a school of holistic body therapy. There she
successfully achieved the credentials of a Certified
Massage Therapist.
As the years go on, Krystal’s passion and enthusiasm for the creation and mechanics of the human body grows stronger and stronger. In 2008, she joined Forster Physical Therapy and was an apprentice to Robert Forster, the Olympic sports physical therapy specialist. Krystal has now joined the Nation’s #1 Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy facility, the University of Southern California (USC) Physical Therapy Associates, as a Physical Therapy Aide.
Krystal Walden brings to the health and fitness spa, 20+ years of experience as a competitive athlete; offering
her unique fusion of athletic gifts and accreditations.
With the kind of strength, flexibility, balance and
compassions that Krystal posses there is no doubt that
she will meet her goals, to enhance the global image
of how to live a stronger, healthier, and balanced lifestyle.

Dr. Erica Sigman, DPT, OCS
Dr. Erica Sigman is a Licensed Physical Therapist and Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree at the University of Southern California (USC); where she is also a graduate of the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency program. Prior she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University. Dr. Sigman is currently an Instructor of Clinical Physical Therapy and the Coordinator of the Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program at USC. For the Keck School of Medicine of USC, she instructs the musculoskeletal examination labs for the Introduction to Clinical Medicine courses. She also serves as a Physical Therapy mentor for dental residents studying oral medicine with an emphasis on orofacial pain, at the USC School of Dentistry.
Dr. Sigman specializes in treating patients with headaches, temporomandibular joint-related issues, orthopedic disorders, and chronic pain. She also assists in teaching physical therapy continuing education courses involving the management oftemporomandibular joint related disorders and management of the spine with an emphasis on the cervical region.
Dr. Sigman’s love for physical therapy stems from her passion for human empowerment. Educating her patients about their bodies, how to care for themselves, and how to be physically efficient are some of her goals for each individual she treats. Her personal struggles with chronic pain also give her unique insight to her patients and their daily struggles. |

Dr. Marisol Martinez, DC
Dr. Martinez is a Board Certified, Licensed Chiropractor. She graduated and received her degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (Southern California University of Health Sciences). In addition, Dr. Martinez received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from Loyola Marymount University. She is also certified with The Ekaya Institute of Living Food Education as a Raw Vegan Nutrition Specialist and Educator.
Dr. Martinez provides both musculoskeletal and nutritional healing by using both chiropractic care and nutritional guidance that promotes key aspects of the raw vegan lifestyle. She has worked extensively with a wide variety of patients including athletes such as MMA fighters, surfers, volleyball players, endurance athletes, and yogis. Dr. Martinez also has years of experience in successfully treating the multitude of injuries of longshoreman from the Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Pedro ports.
Dr. Martinez’s passion is helping others maintain and regain optimal health, naturally. Her chiropractic treatments, bodywork, and private yoga sessions are all designed to channel the body’s inherent healing properties. |

Holly Perry, EP
Holly is an Exercise Physiologist who earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University and is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a member of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
Holly specializes in metabolic testing via resting metabolic rate, VO2 submax, and blood lactate assessments. She has coached many runners, cyclists, and triathletes to their success by integrating her vast knowledge of human physiology, metabolic efficiency, and performance nutrition in order to obtain optimum results. Having extensive biomechanical knowledge and experience with injury rehabilitation, Holly not only caters to those who are looking to increase performance and improve appearance, but also to those wanting to improve the quality of their life after recovering from an injury.
With a passion for the human body and education, Holly strives to empower her athletes and clients with knowledge so that they may continue to improve throughout their lives. |
